This Beach Wedding in Cancun Was Chic From Beginning to End

What happens when you combine minimalism with a boho concept and a killer beach in Mexico? A fabulous wedding, of course! Nizuc Resort & Spa in sunny Mexico was the perfect venue for this effortlessly glam couple. Calming neutral and earthy green tones with florals from Vanessa Jaimes played a huge role in making Janelle and Martin’s wedding feel organic, yet full of life. The happy couple worked closely with the team at Love On Top Weddings to create the perfect event – even when separated by different countries!

Janelle and Martin describe their style as ‘natural with a touch of modern’ and that truly shows – including down to the dress. Janelle wore a stunning Carolina Herrera gown, beautifully captured by Button Up Photography on their wedding day. Growing up in Miami, she often found herself drawn to Ever After boutique, specializing in luxury wedding dresses. When it finally came down to finding her dream dress, it was a no-brainer to finally stop in! She then found her dream dress in the form of a timeless, elegant gown from Carolina Herrera. Talk about meant to be! All of the details from their wedding day were spectacular – now let’s get into it!

"fun fact" save the date cards

Janelle and Martin had the sweetest save the date cards created for them by La Crafteria. The unique invites highlighted sweet fun facts about the couple. Their wedding hashtag, #PorfinJenYMartin, translates to “Finally, Jen and Martin”. How cute!

The bridesmaids wore stunning dark green slip dresses. We love the organic feel!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

The most memorable part of the wedding for us was sharing our vows. It completely made it our unique moment in a ceremony that's been done many times over. It was so special and personalized to us. Also, taking the time to capture the view of our guests at each setting of the day (and even weekend) was magical. Their laughter, love, and enjoyment glowed and it’s an energy we can’t forget.

The white flowers enrobing their sleek ceremony arch couldn’t have been more perfect. Between that, the gorgeous water, Martin’s sleek white suit, and Janelle’s gorgeous ensemble…it’s hard to pick one favorite thing in this photo!

Memories To Last A Lifetime

As far as our guest experience goes at Nizuc Resort and Spa, let’s just say most guests are planning a trip back! The extreme sense of calmness that fills each space and incredible attention to detail definitely sets this hotel apart from the rest. When searching for a venue in Mexico, It was really important to us to maintain the warmth of a smaller hotel with all the comfort that would satisfy our guests – and Nizuc did just that. The staff immediately felt like family and made our experience all the more enjoyable.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

My number one piece of advice for brides is to find a wedding planner you trust and feel comfortable with. At first, I only wanted a day-of planner but I’m so glad we chose Love On Top full-time because even if you have a clear picture of how you want your big day, having someone local to the destination to guide you and make sure everything is flowing smoothly is key! Another suggestion is to be as organized as possible in relaying your vision so there’s less room for confusion with your vendors. Pictures are everything!
