What if your wedding was one big slumber party full of fun, family and friends?! Well, that’s exactly how Lauren and Phil describe their unique and festive wedding at YMCA Camp Campbell in the Santa Cruz Mountains. In fact, during her toast, Lauren thanked her guests for coming to the best sleepover of her life! With the help of the talented Brannan Events & Design team, L + P took the camping theme and ran with it, creating a totally rad summer camp for adults featuring glam flowers, a vibrant fuchsia and cobalt color palette, epic lounge setups, bride and groom attire to envy and the most delicious sounding nature-inspired signature cocktails. This wedding is all about relaxing and having a good time and we are here for it!!!
Lauren shares this about their inspiration:
We really wanted time to actually hang out with all of our family and friends. Phil and I are also fun, colorful people that love entertaining. A weekend at a summer camp seemed to check all of these boxes – a fun and casual setting with plenty of activities and opportunities to hang out. It gave our families the opportunity to merge and gave us the opportunity to share our love in a low-pressure setting that was comfortable for us.

Ceremony at the Camp
Amanda Vidmar Design killed it with these florals!! Dahlias, garden roses, and peonies… OH MY! This ceremony arch is rad, boho, bright and beautiful!! This is the kind of backdrop that can inspire any boho bride to embrace full-on color for wedding day!
Surprisingly, the ceremony ended up being a lot of fun. As someone who is not religious and never really had a clear vision of what my wedding ceremony would be, we worked hard to keep it casual and true to us. Having a friend as the officiant made it even more memorable. It was so special to have everyone in one place to witness such a great moment.

YES! We love a good signature cocktail and these nature-themed drinks are the perfect thing to top off the camp wedding nighttime festivities!
Talk about a dreamy reception, right?! A flurry of incredible rental vendors teamed up to make all of this magic a reality! Revival Rentals provided furniture rentals, The Chiavari Guys brought in the tabletop decor, La Tavola Fine Linen provided all of the linen rentals and The Vessel SF came through with the specialty rentals. Woodworm Party draped it all in twinkle lights and we are in love!!
What’s an adult Summer Camp wedding without amazing desserts?? Edith Meyer Wedding Cakes created this beautiful cake with gold and lace detailing as well as these adorable bite-sized pies. We would easily have one or two… or five!
