Desiree + Ron met through friends several years ago when they were set up on a blind date! At the time Des was living in San Francisco + Ron in Orange County, CA. After doing the long-distance thing for a year + a half, they finally ended up in the same city and eventually getting engaged. :) I’ll let Ron share more about the inspiration behind their super charming engagement photos at the Travel Town Museum in Griffith Park, Los Angeles:
Because of the long distance part of our relationship, we thought about a “California Love ” (credit to Tupac!) / travel themed wedding and session. We scoured the local flea markets while we still lived in the OC / LA area, eBay, Craigslist, antique shops, our parents’ garages, etc for anything we thought might help bring our ideas to fruition. And we couldn’t have asked for a better setting. The museum really captured the look and feel we were going for: vintage with a slightly modern twist.
And the gorgeous photos were captured by a guy + a girl photography
How adorable is their puppy, Stanley M. Hopland?! (Who gets his last name from the city Des + Ron are getting married in, Hopland, CA!) Stanley hurt his paw at doggy daycare the day before their shoot, so the vet cleaned him up + gave him the sweetest pink cast! Poor little guy, but he was a trooper + we think he looks pretty great!
The vintage dated railroad nails (with their wedding date) were found on eBay.
So fun, right?! Thanks so much to a guy + a girl photography for letting us share these photos with you all today – and of course, big congrats to Desiree + Ron!
LOVELY!!!!
