Often when we hear of a winter wedding we usually think of snow capped mountains and bundled up guests. But for us Southern Californians, winter consists of only slight drops in temperature and a random day or two of rain amidst usually sunny skies. Lindye of Lindye Galloway Events wanted to bring that perspective of a winter wedding into this California winter elopement inspiration shoot. And what could be a better setting than the beach for this lovely inspiration!? Lindye created a beautiful winter elopement, an intimate evening for two, with tones of creams + golds along with a Christmas tree. And thanks so much to Jessica Claire for the gorgeous photos!
With Christmas approaching, they couldn’t resist bringing a tree to the beach. The white tree stood tall in the foreground of the waves, covered in gold and sequined ornaments. And of course gold wrapped gifts with custom gift tags sat under the tree in the sand. The darling couple was outfitted in less traditional wedding attire that reflected a California winter look that would be perfect for a sweet elopement.
The ceremony had a simple elegance with a custom chandelier made out of ornaments suspended above the couple, embracing the ever-popular ombre style.
The custom table set for two was made of logs built by Lindye. Atop the table was a faux furry fabric to bring a wintery softness to juxtapose the wood. The gorgeous centerpiece was full of winter inspired flowers, with the wood box wrapped in sequins to bring some sparkle. Each setting had a custom menu that wrapped around the plate for a unique look.
Thanks so much to all these talented vendors for showing us how lovely an intimate winter elopement In Cali could be!

So true about LA winters! Living here but being from Ohio originally I always find it hard to get into the holiday spirit and seeing Christmas lights in the palm trees still weirds me out. But this is so beautiful it makes me sort of LOVE the idea of an LA Christmas. Gorgeous!
