Bright + Minimal Texas Wedding With A Desert Rose Color Palette

Emerson Texas Summer Wedding

When you know, you know. For Randi + Preston, they knew without a doubt they could trust their vendor team to bring their incredible day to life. Randi is a Production Executive for Brides of North Texas, so she knows the power in handing over the reins. So she called up Linda at Lyons Events, who was inspired by the bright + minimal Texas venue. She incorporated the arched windows into decor and details for a thorough and stunning design.

Here’s more from Randi: Honestly, I only had a general desert + sunset rose color palette in mind! Linda is really the one that made everything come to life! Every single vendor absolutely killed it! They brought such an amazing vision to life and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. The only thing that was super important to Preston and me was that it felt like a big, fun party and it was just that!

Let’s see how the party played out with photos below by Peyton Byford!

The Chic Bridal Style

Randi wore a gown by Rime Arodaky from Lovely Bride Dallas—one that she, perhaps, had her eye on for some time:

Finding my dress was probably unlike anyone else’s as I work for a bridal magazine so I do see A LOT when it comes to wedding details. The dress I chose we had actually used for a styled shoot a year before and I remember LOVING it! It was the first and last dress I tried on that day.

My mom was the only one that got to come with me that day as it was in the midst of Covid but I honestly wouldn’t have had it any other way. I remember trying on my dress and before the curtains even pulled back my mom was already in tears. I remember saying “Mom, are you already crying before you’ve seen anything?” and of course, she was! I FaceTimed my best friends and now mother-in-law with my final two choices, went home, and just couldn’t stop thinking about that first one!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Oh my goodness there were so many! My absolute favorite thing was just having everyone we love and care about under one roof. Seeing my work life and my personal life blend and get to have an amazing day with the best people. I couldn't have asked for anything more. It truly felt like one big, fun party and that's exactly what Preston and I wanted.

Another moment would have to be with my mom. I took her wedding dress and had Altered for The Altar make me a custom robe to get ready in that morning. It was incredibly special to my mom and me.

Gosh and then there's my dad. I've always dreamed of him walking me down the aisle and that was special to actually have that happen. I'm very lucky!

And then, definitely our first look. Just such a moment realizing you're both finally here. The big day! It was just such an amazing day. I cried at the very end loading up the car because I just wasn't ready for it to be over!

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Just have fun with it! Preston and I found it more enjoyable to only do the things we particularly cared about. We didn't think it was necessary for both of us to have a hand in each and every decision we made so we broke out the responsibilities between us. For example, he did the food, alcohol, DJ, and his clothing because that's what he liked to do. I did more of the floral, cake, planning, and other details because that's what I liked to do. It took some off of both of our plates and we enjoyed it so much more than trying to do absolutely everything together! Now, if you're wanting to do everything together then definitely do that! This is just what worked for us :)

Another thing (I did already know this but...) is to trust your vendors! You chose them for a reason, most likely being that you loved their work. So let go of the reigns a little. You'll be so happy with how they execute. TRUST ME! My vendor team did a fabulous job and most of it was a surprise to me on how it was going to look! I loved that!
