Bold Florals Had This Modern Toronto Wedding Bursting With Joy

“This shoot was full of so much juicy goodness.”

That’s what planner Kendra of Confetti and Co. has to say about this bright-yet-refined Toronto wedding editorial, and we couldn’t have put it better ourselves. This shoot really is packed with colors, contemporary design details, and fruit-filled floral arrangements that you’ll want to sink your teeth into.

Kendra describes the editorial’s design concept as “a celebration of modern romance, bold colour, and tailored but playful design.” It’s where something like minimalism comes together with something like maximalism, and the product is a wedding aesthetic that is so sophisticated-special-occasion but still bursting with joy.

“Set against the historic brickwork at Gladstone House, the styling paired sculptural florals in rich marigold, coral, and soft lilac with clean, contemporary lines for a look that felt both artful and intentional,” Kendra says of the shoot’s eye-popping, smile-inducing color world.

It’s chic but never stiff. It’s vibrant but never kitschy. The classic-yet-dynamic design fills the industrial space with life, and the color-packed flower arrangements kind of steal the show.

You’ll see it all in these flawless photos from Gaetz Photography, but, as Kendra puts it: “Every detail was designed to inspire, creating a space that felt celebratory, intimate, and full of movement.”

The team at Confetti & Co. planned the shoot AND designed these amazing invites. Love to see a colorful take on minimal wedding invitations.

What could be sweeter than a pair of color-popping cherry red open toe mules as bridal shoes 🍒

Portrait of a Modern Bride

The phenomenal curly updo and glossy-lipped bridal makeup look? Both were the handiwork of Taylor Switzer.

This brilliant lavender + warm orange bridal bouquet one of your first peeks at the way that floral design by Wild Vogel Works filled the shoot with its signature shocks of color.

This stunningly simple strapless SAINT Bridal Couture wedding gown was scored at Sash + Bustle. We’re obsessed with that structured bodice!

“I Do’s” + Bold Hues

We’re not being dramatic when we say: we would stand before our loved ones and say “I Do” to this FLAWLESS color palette. That’s how in love we are.

Timeless style choices like this tux from Tuxedo Junction grounded the shoot in classic romance while modern floral magic brought all kinds of color to the space.

YES pop of red from the wedding heels!! 👠❤️

Oh, and PSA: don’t miss or collection of the most comfortable wedding shoes (your feet will thank us)!

Loving the chic modern vibes of this gorg fabric edged wedding veil.

A Color-Rich Reception

“The tablescape was a focal point of the vision…” Kendra shares.

“…with gathered silk linens, slender tapers…”

“…playful pops of colour, and textured blooms.”

Loving this striking open neckline? We’ve got some killer strapless looks in our shoppable collection of the wedding dresses we’re loving most at the moment.

Element Events supplied the shoot’s furniture including these fun modern ghost charis and this arch-shaped head table.

Modern yet playful table decor and minimalist all white linens came from Table Tales.

Sun-Drenched Portraits

“The late-fall sun did us an enormous favour this day, allowing for gorgeous sun-soaked portraits that highlighted the fashion-forward bridal styling,” Kendra remembers.

Be still our hearts! Those pearly bridal gloves!!

Something Oh So Sweet

VERY into the way this wedding cake from Bird + Berry went with a different hue from the color palette for each tier!

We’re so charmed by this colorful, contemporary wedding shoot from Canada and can’t wait to see the vibrantly modern celebrations it inspires!
