We heard through the grapevine (aka through their wedding planning + design team at LVL Weddings & Events) that Alyse + Robbie are a couple full of love and laughter, infectious to anyone + everyone around them. We’re pretty sure that sentiment translates perfectly in the super sweet images Jenn Emerling of YEAH Weddings captured at their gorgeous boho wedding at Sunstone Winery in Santa Ynez, California, but we’ll go ahead and let you be the judge :) Below, Alyse + Robbie tell us a bit more about the two of them + their big day – which you’re definitely going to want to see in full!
Robbie wrote the whole ceremony and we tweaked it together. We wanted everything that the officiant said (and the vows we made) to truly be what we wanted and believe is important. The ceremony ended up being our favorite part. It’s really what the whole day is about and taking the time to really plan that out was worth it. We wanted our day to be fuss free, romantic and kind of whimsical. Which is how I think it turned out. As for the day of, just soak it all up.
With a background in fashion design, Alyse’s vision flowed throughout the décor to the flowers and, of course, we love her beautiful, boho long sleeved wedding dress which she helped design alongside Stephanie of Odylyne the Ceremony, It was aptly named “The Alyse” :)
Guests were transported to and from the winery in a vintage school bus by Jump on the School Bus with personalized decals (#IPICKARDYOU) so that no one had to be “schooled” about having too much fun! And how cute are her flower girls in their Tea Princess dresses!!
Our favorite part of the day was walking out of the winery doors and seeing everyone that had traveled to be there for our big day.
Mega loving Alyse’s gorgeous bouquet by Keith J. Floral Design!
Alyse shares, I always thought my dad and step dad would both walk me down the aisle, one on each side. Robbie gave me a little gold anklet the day before our wedding with a little heart that had an engraved ‘D’ on it (for my stepdad Dru that passed away) so that I could have it on for the walk down the aisle. It was the most thoughtful and meaningful gift I’ve ever received.
Processional: Sweet Thing – Van Morrison (Sung live by friend, Keith Harkin)
Recessional: Everlasting Light – Black Keys
First Dance: Days Like This – Van Morrison
Amy of LVL Weddings & Events shares, After the intimate ceremony, the guests were escorted to dine al fresco on the vineyard lawn under strings of lights and a starlit sky. After dinner service, Alyse and Robbie started the party off with the sweet first dance on the vintage style rug / dance floor! The party ended inside the wine cave adorned with hanging lanterns and a packed dance floor thanks to The Flash Dance.

From Alyse: Go with your gut! You know what you really want! If you start asking too many people's opinions your brain is going to get frazzled. Take the time before your wedding to really overplan the details of the wedding day. The little things you think you'll remember to do or to grab – you won't. (I forgot my bra straps and had to tape myself into it). Also- I'm not a big believer in the idea that there is ONE perfect dress out there for you. So don't over stress yourself out about it. Chances are they all look amazing and you just gotta pick one!
From Robbie: One piece of advice I'd give, and that I'm glad I did, is to take a step back a couple of times during the evening, and just look around and realize how special this is. Kinda like taking the blinders off so you can see the big picture.
