Boho-Jungalow in San Luis Obispo: This Wedding is OH so Dreamy!

Boho Jungalow Wedding

Relaxed wedding with a view, anyone? You can practically feel those chill vibes from Erin + Marshall, the lovebirds at the center of today’s San Luis Obispo wedding! Erin is an interior designer and with the help of Wild Heart Events, the day’s dreamy design came together in a boho-jungalow motif. E + M threw out the idea of “wedding colors” and opted for a style very much like their own home: lots of layers, vintage finds, bohemian textiles, global effects, and plants galore! Here’s more behind the day’s inspo from Erin:

Marshall and I are both relaxed, fun-loving people and we wanted our wedding to reflect that. Because Holland Ranch is so beautiful, we wanted to keep the ceremony décor to a minimum and let the view speak for itself. The only elements we added were the six foot dream catcher hanging from the altar and the flower mandalas spread across the platform. Our wedding day was the only full moon on a Saturday in 2017, so the date sort of picked itself—and the song did too! Our first dance was to Neil Young’s “Harvest Moon.” It was straight out of a dream.

Anna Delores Photography captured all the day’s details in SLO—let’s have a look!

first look

Oh, yes! So much joy in this!

Boho Jungalow Wedding

Erin couldn’t decide on one dress so she made the obvious choice…she wore two! The first was this bespoke number by Victoria Kyriakides. Victoria even embroidered a small lighting bolt on one sleeve to honor Erin’s father, who plays bass for AC/DC!

As for Marshall, he wore a navy windowpane Balmain suit, black leather Gucci loafers, and his grandfather’s cufflinks from the 1950s, initialed with an “L” for Lake.

floral bridesmaids

Erin asked each of her bridesmaids to choose a floral dress with a black background in their own style for a cohesive yet unique look.

Look at that dreamy view!

dreamcatcher backdrop

E + M gave Jill at Forage Florals free reign to breath her brand of magic into the day. The handmade six-foot dreamcatcher, laden with flowers and hanging from the altar, was just one of her many masterpieces!

So sweet! Erin walked down with her father down the aisle to Iron & Wine and Ben Bridwell’s cover of Talking Heads’ “This Must Be The Place.”

Erin’s second dress was none other than a lace-sheath style by Rue de Seine, complete with draped fringe, a low keyhole neckline, and bell sleeves that really resonated with Erin’s bohemian side. Perfect for cutting a rug!

The Reception

We’ve had our eye on this escort display for awhile now! Sophia Loves Letters and Wild Heart Events totally hit it out of the park with beautiful calligraphy onto layers of potted plants, terra cotta vases, glass vessels, agate slices, and various mirrors.

Avenue Twelve provided the furnishings for a lovely little boho lounge.

Oh, YUM. Doesn’t this spread look equally beautiful and delicious? Field To Table also created tasty signature bites—pulled pork & blackberry stuffed puff pastry bites, parmesan + chive stuffed squash blossoms, and lamb & feta meatballs with mint oregano oil and Syrah reduction. Needless to say, E + M’s guests were well fed!

Erin called their cake the “heavenly brainchild” of Paper Cake Events! They also created a customized dessert spread with plumberry galettes, pistachio and huckleberry macaroons, chocolate + espresso buttercream cupcakes, salted caramel cheesecake cups, and hand-painted mud-cloth sugar cookies. Swooooon.

custom jackets

We love a good jean jacket duo! Erin designed them using an image of their Vanagon, the Holland Ranch mountain range and a full moon, then had them embroidered at Lot, Stock and Barrel in West Hollywood.

Everyone celebrated under the moon as Dart Collective spun a little bit of everything from 80s & 90s to classic rock! Amari Productions captured more on film from the magical day:
So beautiful! All our congrats to Erin + Marshall!
