If you’re a surfer and you’re engaged, you’re looking at one of two ways to get married or elope. First, you can bid the shore adieu and just get in the water, or you can plan a boho-chic surfer wedding—no towels required. Either way, it’s safe to say you’re WAY cooler than us. Today we’re diving into the latter option, with a rad surfboard backdrop and a wedding dress made of pampas grass—scroll on for THAT gem.
Inspired by all the laid-back goodness that is a surfer elopement, Tie the Knot Santorini designed the day with a color palette that reflected the natural landscape. Sandy tones of beige and daring pops of black, like the shadow from a rockface off a dreamy beach in Greece. Beige + black paired perfectly with wood and rattan details that appeared later in the day!

Intimate Reception Table on the Beach
OH. If this doesn’t make your heart skip a beat…what does?! The romantic dinner setting came to life under a curtain of fairy lights and chandeliers made from seashells!

A Dress Made of Pampas Grass
What were you picturing? Did you expect it to be THIS GOOD?!
Here’s a creative leap from the team and Madebride that totally paid off! Hundreds of intricately placed pieces of pampas grass formed the skirt for the dress, with a silhouette that is seriously beautiful. Zenia’s hair + makeup by Morgan Belleville and Renia Bledaki were given a quick change-up to complement the new look!
