Bohemian Puerto Vallarta Wedding: Lauren + Rainer

Boho Mexico Wedding

Let’s set the stage for you – the incredibly beautiful Villa Estrella Mar in Puerto Vallarta, a super creative couple, a tropical inspired theme planned by Marweddings… That all adds up to one ROCKIN’ wedding. Meet Lauren + Rainer, this super fun-loving couple is all about having a good time and wanted the entire weekend + wedding day to have a casual and relaxed vibe, with several events dedicated to spending quality time with all their friends and family. Incorporating different fun + games each day, they had a huge welcome party, a taco night, a beach day with beer pong, volleyball, kayaks, surfboards and paddle boarding.

The couple shares Rainer is the co-founder of a shorts company called Chubbies, which he and his groomsmen wore on the big day. Our goal was for it to feel like one giant party, and not to be taken too seriously! For decor we were inspired by traditional Mexican influences and the tropical scenery of Puerto Vallarta, with our own modern-bohemian twist.

Marweddings crafted a spectacular tropical-inspired bouquet for Lauren, crowned with a white king protea, David Austin roses, pink astilbes, pink proteas, and Italian ruscus. The bouquet paired perfectly with her sleek + elegant gown by Bo & Luca.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

The first dance was very unique and playful, just like our personalities. We danced to "Hold On We're Going Home" by ASTR (Drake cover), and didn't rehearse before at all! We totally winged it, but it worked out.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Think of the overall experience, plan around emotions, memories and entertainment. Guests do not leave with a flower or a napkin in their hands but they do leave with the memories of everything you do for them. Surprise them with the unexpected; not everything needs to fit in a wedding traditional format. Focus on all of the friends and family around you, and take in all of the love!
