Inspired by the shapes of the rocks and boulders of Joshua Tree, the team behind today’s beautiful editorial styled this shoot with the idea of two lovers running away to elope in mind. Forage Floral Design + A Bit of Spark & Sparkle Events utilized the colors of the desert throughout the floral and event design – think soft hues of violet, persimmon, and pops of maroon among the earthy neutrals of the sand and stone.
Photographer, Katherine Dalton – who captured the bohemian scene just beautifully –shares, We really thought through every detail with an elopement in mind. Even the dress we chose fits the desires of a bride planning an elopement. The gown is from ASOS‘ new line of wedding dresses, making it affordable but also very chic. The geometric beading patterns and cut outs in the dress reflect the geometric patterns in the rest of the decor.
How amazing is this ceremony site, with that bohemian Joshua Tree backdrop?! Keeping with the native tones and patterns, the team utilized antique rugs from Elan Event Rentals mixed with natural elements such as yucca and leather.
For an elopement, a petite cake is all you need + this mini beauty by Sweet and Saucy Shop is a total winner!
Love, love, loving these pretty portraits!
So, so gorgeous, right?!! The perfect runaway elopement idea! Big thanks to the amazing team below for sharing this editorial with us today!
