You know the song “California Dreamin’” by The Mamas & the Papas? There’s a reason it’s still so popular! The deserts of California call to people from coast to coast and beckon them to come bask in the golden sun + embrace the free-spirited lifestyle. Today’s couple, Meghan + Jordan are the perfect example of just that! The two met at Indiana University and moved out to California right after graduation. Fast forward a few years later, and when it came time to plan their upcoming nuptials, they *knew* they wanted to invite their friends and family out to California and enjoy a place they’ve had so much fun getting to know: Palm Springs!
Meghan shares: We saw Colony 29 and immediately fell in love with the venue. We had our bridal party stay on site for the entire weekend which was a dream for us to really get to catch up with everyone who traveled so far. When designing the wedding, I knew that a bold color choice was not right for me and instead stuck to a palate of white, ivory, tan, gold and natural greens. I work in product design for Parachute Home, and before that in fashion — so I have a love for fabrics and textures and wanted that to come through in the details for the day. Shindig Chic + Details, Darling definitely brought my ideas to fruition.

We agree — Palm Springs is always a good idea! How fun is this neutral invitation suite from Minted? Just wait ’til you see how they incorporated that diamond pattern throughout the rest of the day!
And that engagement ring + wedding band from Anna Sheffield!! WOAH, WOAH, WOAH!
Hello, ANGEL! Meghan’s Rue De Seine ‘Avril’ dress from Loho Bride perfectly captured the elegant, yet effortless, style she was going for.
How darling are these two?! The white Suit Supply jacket that Jordan’s rocking + his SUCCULENT boutonnière… Yes, yes, yes!! We can’t stop oohing + aweing over their epic style!
Brimming with statement proteas, creamy astilbe for texture, palm fronds, and an array of greenery — we love the mix of tropical and desert in this bridal bouquet from Shindig Chic.
Rounding out Meghan’s gorgeous bridal look (hair + makeup by the ever-talented Kacee Geoffroy) is a textured crown from Luna Bea.
All the ladies rocked white dresses in different styles — a look we *TOTALLY* adore.
Seriously, how good is this?! Want to recreate this look? Gowns are from one of our personal faves: Show Me Your Mumu!

And it only got better from there — distressed denim jackets with hand-painted names by Bash Calligraphy + desert plants?! Love, love, love!!
Shindig Chic explains: Although there was a lack of color, we really tried to play with various muted tones to still give depth. We brought in taupe + tan florals and mixed leather, wood + matte metallics to still have that eclectic feel.
To let the scenery speak for itself, while still framing M+J, Shindig Chic crafted a macramé backdrop, complete with asymmetrical florals.
My favorite moment of the day was sitting down to dinner next to Jordan and looking out at all our friends and family. The sun had just dipped below the mountain face and it gave the whole venue this amazing golden glow (hard to describe) but it was incredible!
Angela of Shindig Chic tells us: As soon as I saw the invitation suite, I just knew that the seating chart had to match the intricate diamond pattern!
Can’t get over that gold diamond pattern… So chic!
Cactus koozies? Brilliant.
The tables were dressed up with a collection of succulents, textured vases + gems — all in the color palette of white, gold, and green. DREAMY!
Complete elegant simplicity in the form of a cake by Over the Rainbow. Too pretty, especially with the dainty touch of florals!
Best wishes to the both of you + congratulations from the team at GWS!!
