How do you create the perfect atmosphere for a city-dwelling couple looking to do things a bit outside the box? That’s exactly what the team behind today’s Chicago-centric inspirational shoot set out to determine. Armed with some of the best vendors in the city, including the ladies at Bride + Joy Events, the first decision was to shoot at a modern, lofted event space (Ovation) over the traditional hotel – and all the gorgeous details unfolded from there.
Let’s have a look at the glamorous day, captured by Cattura Weddings!
Emily Rose Ink created a sophisticated black + gold invitation suite for the event.
These rings by Kelsey Hartley are so interesting! Love that texture.
It was the bohemian glamour of the bride’s Rue De Seine ‘Mickah’ Gown that really became the center of the day’s vibe.

The girls found their dresses at Bella Bridesmaids and we are feelin’ this color combo!

Blumgarten let the King Protea rule the bouquet, front and center – perfection.
The men suited up in handsome styles from Balani Custom Clothiers.
What. A. Showstopper! Greenery mixed with magnolia leaves set the backdrop, while more greenery and curated cultural goods flanked the alter. So many rich textures!
The perfect accessory, if we do say so.
Dreamcatcher place cards?? YES.
Such a perfect use of black as a strong accent color: glamor, boho, and industrial all in one.
Tablescapes provided the linens and table decor, while Bowery and Bash came through with the rustic table and industrial chairs.
These ice cream cupcakes from Bon Vivant Cakes are adorable! And antlers on a cake? Totally works.
Thanks to the talented team for sharing this inspired day with us!
