Happy fall, y’all! This month’s “best of” from our Preferred Wedding Artists is full of moody fall inspiration—just in time for Halloween this week! We’re all for shorter days, harvest parties, and those sweet, stolen moments.
If you’re looking for wedding vendors who are the absolute best at their crafts, use our “find a vendor” tool to meet some GWS-approved artists. Meanwhile, here’s what we’re loving from our PWAs this month!
A Soulful Wedding Portrait
Devora and Aidan sat on the porch of the Macedonia Institute on their wedding day in upstate New York, a property they bought and converted to an artist retreat/workspace. The couple got ready there, and it was important for me to capture them in this wonderful space they built together.
Halloween on the Ranch
Pumpkin carving party at Tremaine Ranch:
I recently got together with a few close girlfriends and hosted a pumpkin carving party to get in the festive mood. I picked up a few tips and tricks so you throw an epic pumpkin carving party yourself!
An Epic Elopement
This adventurous shot ranks as one of my favorite bridal portraits. The waterfall rushing down, the wind, the movement, and wildness are all beautiful pieces that tell the story of Ashley and Casey’s elopement at Rock Island State Park in Tennessee.
A Tease to Leave You Wanting More
Video by Grimace Films:
Doooope Joshua Tree getaway. Very fun wedding with faux fur coats and all. Shot most of it on film!
An Unexpected Design Combination
Design by Tie the Knot Santorini:
We love combining different styles! This ceremony arch decorated with tropical florals mixes with an industrial element—copper pipes transformed into candle holders. By the way, how pretty is the pampas grass with the of the venue vegetation?!
A Scary Sweet Treat
Cookies + photo by Bijou’s Sweet Treats:
These “Nightmare Before Christmas” cookie favors were for our friends at Nicole Miller for their NYC showroom party. We’ve done events for them before and for this one we wanted to add “Nicole Miller” within the cookie design—as the mouth!
