Barefoot Bohemian: An Intimate Moroccan-Inspired Vow Renewal

Bohemian Wedding Inspiration

The celebration doesn’t end with the wedding, and we at GWS stand by that! We’re firm believers that each + every day with the one you love is a reason to celebrate… so, if you’ve been following us for a bit now, you’ve probably noticed our penchant for vow renewals + anniversary sessions. We’re telling you — the celebration doesn’t need to stop, and shouldn’t stop, just because your wedding day has already happened!

Anna, the designer at For the Love of Parties shares: Marriage is what lasts after the big day. Continually loving, fighting for, and supporting your partner day in and day out is what life is made of. While we love the love on wedding days, we love anniversaries even more. Continually living out your vows should be celebrated too. And that’s why we wanted to celebrate Maia and Vlad on their fifth anniversary. A renewing of vows, an intimate dinner party, and a romantic evening together is exactly what five years of marriage calls for.

Drawing inspiration from all things Moroccan — the color palette, the décor, and especially an abundance of lanterns — M+V danced into the moonlight, together. Let’s take a peek at these darling anniversary snaps from Love and Theory!

The Florals

When it came to the styling, it was all about all things Moroccan-inspired. The color palette revolved around navy blue, light pinks, and peach — creating an ethereal + enchanting atmosphere.

Talk about textured posies! Walnut and Main captured those soft blue and pink hues, while rounding out the palette with touches of orange and white.

Isn’t Maia’s outfit the essence of romance? That gold hairpiece is from Noon Day Collection, and we could see it being rocked for so many other occasions!

The Backdrop

Dressed in blush and a Moroccan gold headpiece, Maia stood with her love, Vlad. The backdrop? Calligraphy of a poem they both hold near + dear to their hearts, done by the fabulous Ashley Baumgartner.

The couple read their vows to each other — a sweet declaration of their continued love and support for each other, and their daughter!

The Dreamy Tablescape

In true Moroccan fashion, good food had to be part of the mix as well! M+V indulged in some Middle Eastern delights that not only tasted good, but looked gorgeous as well! The spread included Moroccan couscous salad, crostini with fig jam, and other delicious bites.
