Singer-songwriter Anabel Englund is the artist behind countless electrifying house, electronic, and pop rock tracks that might make you want to dance your face off in a nightclub till the wee hours of the morning.
But her wedding to fiancé Preston—rather than being a night-life-inspired rager—was a dreamy, colorful daytime affair.
The two tied the knot lakeside at Pier 290 in Preston’s hometown of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Photographer Kristina Lorraine snapped stunning photos of this edgy, stylish couple throughout the bright and sunny summertime wedding that planners from Graceful Events helped orchestrate. The whole day was a relaxed and personal celebration that Anabel + Present could savor. Interactions with their family and friends took priority over any typical wedding day structure.

Anabel tried on this gorgeous a-line gown the very first time she stopped by Panache Bridals in Beverly Hills. She wasn’t really sure what kind of dress she was looking for, but she knew this might be it. She wanted to be certain, so after giving it some time she returned to the bridal boutique. This time, though, she made a whole magical event of it. She brought family and friends! She got her hair and makeup done! She reserved a special dressing room with a runway so she could try on lots of options and see how they might feel on her wedding day. In the end, it was this sheer tulle champagne beauty with a structured bodice and a drop waist that won out! The same one she’d loved from the start! “It’s crazy,” Anabel says, “how there really is that one dress for everyone.”

The Lakeside Ceremony

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding Anabel: "After we read our vows & said our I do's, we walked through the aisle together it was like stepping into heaven seeing all of our family & loved ones there who had just bared witness to our union. It felt like a dream. The whole day leading up to the ceremony my eyes had been welling up with tears. I was so grateful to be with everyone who I absolutely love. I was so grateful to have found my life partner who knows all of me & loves me."
Preston: "For me it was walking down the aisle with our son Leon and getting a huge round of applause for him. And our first dance was really special to me, Kristina captured the perfect shot."
Cocktail Hour Cruise
Guests were carried to the tented ceremony by steam yacht (courtesy of Cruise Lake Geneva), and when it came time for cocktail hour they hopped back aboard and cruised gorgeous Lake Geneva at golden hour to get to the reception.

Preston: "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. We found the location first, then the venue, then the wedding planner (hey Jenna!) and then the flowers (<3 Renee). After that it was easy! haha"
