Season + Kier are an ultra-fun + carefree couple who wanted their wedding day to reflect that about them. Their lush, eclectic warehouse wedding, at Millwick in LA, was brought to life by the amaze team at GATHER Events, with perfect tropical blooms by Inessa Nichols (for GATHER Events) to match Millwick’s urban-jungle vibe. The pretty palette was one of our most favorite details. The deep blues already inherent to the space contrasted with peachy tones, rich, bright greens and a healthy dose of gold accents. And one of S + K’s biggest shared loves, music, was represented throughout the entire day, leaving guests feeling connected to the two of them in so many ways!
But, unrelated to the details or design, Season tells us, I’ve had several people tell me that of all the weddings they have been to, they have never seen a bride more happy and smile more than I did that day. So I’d definitely call the wedding a success!
We love that so much! And we’re so glad Katherine + Luke of Max & Friends were able to perfectly capture all of the happiness from the day for us to see + share with you!
Jay Adores crafted a tropical suite for the couple to get the day’s aesthetic + expectations started off on the right foot!
We love Season’s simple Katie May dress!
The GATHER girls tell us, Season and Kier are both music supervisors in the film and television industries. Music is an incredibly important part of their history together and they wanted to highlight their mutual love of music throughout their entire wedding. One amazing way they did so was by enlisting the live band, Marcel Camargo and The Brazil You Never Heard, for their ceremony. In a fun and unexpected twist, the band played a surprise rendition of the Ghostbusters theme song to lead the wedding party down the aisle!
Highlights from the wedding for us: Our wedding party walking down the aisle to our Brazilian band playing a cover of “The Ghostbusters Theme”, Kier’s dad marrying us, reading my vows to Kier and my new step-daughter Harlow, the Kogi tacos, the album table settings, the photo booth, our first dance to Isley Brothers “For The Love Of You” and then never leaving the dance floor until they kicked us out at 1am. Hearing our DJ play “My Boo”, “I Know There’s Gonna Be Good Times” and “Cha Cha”. The dance party was everything we dreamed it would be and more!! So many more things - our gorgeous pictures from Katherine & Luke help us remember it all. It was an amazing day - even more magical than we imagined!!!
After Season + Kier read their vows to one another, Season read a special set of vows to Kier’s daughter, Harlow, who also served as co-maid of honor.
Processional: Bridal Party: The Theme Song from Ghostbusters; Bride: Your Love Is King – Sade
Recessional: Rock With You – Michael Jackson
First Dance: For The Love Of You – The Isley Brothers
Season’s best friend and maid of honor, Michelle, owns Four Cafe and provided the delicious stationed dinner. The Kogi Truck also provided delicious dinner bites. Later in the evening, guests were treated to delightful dessert from Donut Friend, Snow LA and Longshot Coffee.
We love all the little bits of personality scattered throughout the tablescapes. Another nod to Season + Kier’s love of music: the table numbers were their favorite albums. A Tribe Called Quest, Sade, Toto and Hall & Oates were just a few table names represented with mini album covers!
A big congrats to the happy couple + big thanks to all of the vendors below who were a part of this gorgeous wedding!
