If you’ve been following Green Wedding Shoes for awhile, you know I’m a huge fan of balloons. I love them as wedding decor or for a sweet prop for a portrait. Well, this couple took my love of balloons to a new level! These photos are dreamy, whimsical, fun and ultra romantic. Brittany Esther photographed Joy + Joshua in an antiquated building in a small town in Southern Alberta. Joy is an illustrator +Â artist and conceptualized their engagement session. Two helium tanks, an hour long drive and three hours of prep later the room was ready…
How cute are they!? Joy’s beautiful dress is by Forever Unique.
That last photo reminds me of one of my favorite movies – Sixteen Candles – absolutely adore it! Amazing photos, Brittany!! Thanks so much for letting me share them here today. See even more from this session on Brittany Esther’s Blog.
Wow, what a brilliant idea! Beautifully executed Brittany and it helps that the couple is just gorgeous too!
I love balloons too, especially for engagement shoots. This one has completely taken my breath away – I love the mixture of different sizes and white and clear balloons. It adds so much depth and interest to this simple palette! The couple are truly breathtaking as well! I agree – very very brilliant idea:)

Hi! Could you please tell me what was the largest size balloon used in this photoshoot? It looks like there’s a mixed variety, and I’m wondering if I could just purchase the 12″ balloons and blow them up at a variety of sizes or if a bigger size needs to be purchased as well. Thanks!
LOVE the balloons! Very unique idea!!!
