All Things Natural: Modern Desert Inspiration with Clean White and Terra Cotta Hues

Terra Cotta Wedding Inspiration

Nature, in itself, is both simple and beautiful. This is what event designers Victory & Co. Events said when they described the inspiration behind this ultra modern and incredibly beautiful wedding inspiration. They chose two of their favorite Western National Parks, White Sands in New Mexico and Arches in Utah and ran with it! They celebrated the beauty of these two locations by marrying together crisp and clean white with warm hues such as terra cotta, and rich brown. It’s great inspiration for those couples out there who can’t decide between two different wedding styles! This proves you CAN have both!

Stormie Boswell, from Victory & Co. had this to say about the inspiration:

You know that feeling when you’re walking through the White Sands in New Mexico or driving up to the Arches in Utah? It’s that feeling of being surrounded by the beauty and awe of nature with wonderful hues of orange, golden brown, terra cotta, and then the sea of white at the white sands with sprouts of life. This was our inspiration. We wanted to bring in the desert and southwest vibe found at the Arches while also creating something that reflects the modern elegance that can be seen at the White Sands.

Stephanie Parsley Photography was the woman behind the lens. Let’s take a look at everything she captured!

All the Details

green and pink invitation

Rich and spicy at its best! These more muted invitations by Paper Supply Co. stand out beautifully against the primary terra cotta hue. We cannot get over how perfect the handmade details are from Rolling Hills Pottery! They created clay name cards and even hand-crafted sculptures inspired by the Arches!

Edgy but Elegant Bride and Groom Attire

Allison Webb 'Ti Adora'

For all you minimalists out there! Consider choosing a sleek and slinky gown like this Allison Webb ‘Ti Adora’ gown from Inverness Bridal. If you’re working with bold colors like these terra cotta hues, you’ll look ultra modern, sophisticated and let your color palette do the talking.

Cabbage Rose Florist perfectly captured the vibes of the overall inspiration. We’re big fans of dried florals, but you often see them standing on their own. We LOVE how they paired dried and fresh for an unexpected twist on a current trend!

Minimalist meets Southwestern. The bride’s sleek bob and natural makeup look by Jessica Humerick looked perfect with her eye-catching accessories from Beige. The Groom’s handmade bolo tie featured a stone accent which amplified his desert-inspired vibe.

Inspired by Nature

The team at Victory & Co. chose The Grandeur House as their venue because of its blank canvas vibes. As a result, the striking color palette and eclectic details were able to stand out and take center stage. We are LOVING all of the natural elements they brought into the design such as handmade terracotta name cards, dried flowers mixed with bright white fresh varieties and even real sand!!

Proving you can have sleek, modern and elegant while also having trendy and bold with some southwestern flavor! Stormie with Victory & Co. states:

We see so many brides who have a hard time choosing between their favorite styles, and it’s always inspiring when a photo shoot or wedding shows two different styles come together well.

We love this! When planning your wedding, deciding on a style is the first and often one of the hardest things you have to do. We’d love to see couples get creative and blend two looks together! Especially if the two styles reflect their individual personalities!

Lovely Little Lounge

Terra Cotta Wedding Inspiration

Can you believe this setup?! Stormie describes the lounge area inspo as:

We continued the theme of natural elements with our lounge setup. One of our favorite pieces were the handmade Mexican equipale chairs. They brought to the lounge setup a lovely shade of rust and a southwest vibe. Surrounding the lounge were handmade pottery and wonderful floor arrangements of dried leaves and foliage, reminding us of the pops of life in the White Sands.

All of these lovely linens and tabletop rentals came from Victory & Co. Events. They describe the gathering of pieces so beautifully:

Being inspired by nature, we wanting to use any and all natural elements that we could. The tablescape was full of handmade things. A local potter friend, Rolling Hills Pottery, made ceramic vases for the table, creating a lovely blend of colors with the modern white and desert oranges. We incorporated a stone washed linen tablecloth and napkins. The napkins were topped with handmade clay name place cards, also made by our local potter. The glasses used were handmade of ankole cow horn, a perfect touch of the southwest while handmade ceramic candle holders lined the table, bringing the tablescape to a whole new modern level.
