Today’s engagement session is seriously something else. Kate + Adam were lucky enough to achieve the look + feel of all four seasons – spring, summer, fall + winter – in one amazing afternoon! According to their awesome photog, Ryan Flynn, no one expected what they ended up capturing. He shares, With our game faces on and a heart for adventure, we all trekked up to Mt. Baker for an afternoon of engagement photos with no agenda beyond having fun, getting out of the city, and making some killer photos. As we neared to the top of the mountain, we expected to be greeted with wildflowers since it was the middle of summer, but instead we found a blanket of white. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to document their engagement getting all 4 seasons in one day!
Let’s have a look at what they caught on camera…
These adorable woodsy photos definitely have a rustic, fall-like feel!
And loving these playful shots of the cuties in the clear blue creek! Feels like summer all the way.
When the group reached the mountain creek + were greeted with snow, jaws must have seriously dropped! And ours our doing the same right now as we look through these gorgy images! Between Kate’s red dress and the PNW scenery, we’re swooning big time!
A sweet spring picnic, anyone? What a super-cool session!
Honestly, was that the most fun or what?! And the perfect fit for a couple who loves the great outdoors + being adventurous together year-round! Let’s hear a few more details about this super amaze shoot from the beautiful bride-to-be:
Our desire was to showcase the natural beauty of the PNW, and because so much of our time is spent enjoying and exploring, Adam suggested we pay a visit to the Mt. Baker National Forest in Washington (where he’d spent countless hours enjoying the outdoors) for our engagement photos.
We started shooting in an old growth forest on the way up to Mt. Baker Ski Area, and then found our way to one of the creeks where I grew up fishing. The water was exceptionally blue, but FREEZING. We continued up to Artist Point, and were surprised to see how much snow was still around. We all joked about how we were able to capture all four seasons in one day. Ryan Flynn did an unbelievable job capturing our vision, and we couldn’t be happier with the photos.
Big congrats, guys! :)
