Today on GWS, it’s all about cozying up with your loved one… As seen in this gorgeous engagement shoot, photographed by Kandice Breinholt! Brittany + Jordan, a couple that LOVES adventure, being comfortable, and of course, each other — goofed off with each other in an Airstream and this shoot is giving us all the feels. Styled with elements such as macramé, cozy knit blanket throws, and other modern details, we have a feeling newly engaged couples are going to find some MAJOR inspiration in this shoot. We could also see this being a seriously sweet setup for an anniversary session… (Hint, hint!!)
A little snippet of their (EPIC) proposal story in Iceland: In early December, Jordan and I received a phone call from my best friend Annie and her husband Holden. about round-trip tickets to Iceland for $400. We immediately jumped at the opportunity.
As our trip to Iceland grew near, I hinted at the idea of a proposal in Iceland… We had already talked about marriage and knew it was in the cards. However, Jordan appeared broken hearted when he said, “I knew you’d think Iceland would be a cool spot, and I’ve seriously tried so hard to figure out a way!! But there is just no way I can make it happen by then… My tuition reimbursement doesn’t come until the end of February.” I immediately reassured him, letting him know that it didn’t matter how or where it happens, I knew it would be an incredible moment no matter what.
Prior to our trip, I was asked to model dresses from two different dress companies while I was there. Our first full day there, we started adventuring and exploring the insane scenery. During the middle of the day, we stopped at a huge waterfall called Gullfoss Waterfall and I quickly changed into one of the dresses for a shoot.
We made our way down to the view of the waterfall. Annie started shooting — little did I know that she was actually taking video. Before I knew it, Jordan whispered in my ear and turned me around to find him on one knee, reaching into his pocket. My hands clasped over my mouth as happiness + shock rushed through my body. His smile was radiating, “Brittany, will you marry me?”
We NEED that large knit throw blanket by Sarah Lou Co.
All the textures in the airstream + their outfits complemented each other so well… And made for one cozy looking scene!
What better way to dress up an interior space than with a macramé wall hang? That gorgeous piece is by none other than Ballantyne Design!
Crazy gorgeous, right?! Congratulations, Brittany + Jordan!
So, for those are newly engaged + rocking some bling – have you given any thought to engagement photos? We’re pretty darn fond of these ones… :)
