We love seeing how couples from all around the globe choose to create a day that’s unique to them. For Nuria + Daan, who tied the knot in Spain at Museo de la energía (an old power station that’s been converted into the National Museum of Energy), that meant including fun DIY details in every corner of the amazing space and expressing their shared love of music + color through the event design executed by The Love Forest. We love that N + D used different areas of the museum for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception, so guests were constantly drawn into a new setting. They knew from the start that they wanted a not-so-typical Spanish wedding + we think that’s exactly what they got! And we’re so glad f2studio was there to perfectly document it all…
We love how Nuria arrived at the ceremony bike! She tell us, We live in Amsterdam where the bike is the most common type of transport so, instead of using a luxurious car, we arranged a bike and got a friend of Daan’s to drive me into the ceremony!
This truly might be one of the most unique ceremony locations we’ve seen. What about you?
Gotta love a good confetti shot!
And we love these dramatic portraits of the newlyweds! They really show off the amazing areas of the museum space.
A note about the super fun marquee above, I call Daan “Tuli” (from the Spanish word Tulipan), because he’s Dutch and Holland is the country of Tulips. That is why our friends call us “Los Tulis” and we called our wedding Tuliwedding. The naming of the event really made it a little more special than just calling it our wedding. And of course we used a lot of Tulips for the decoration.
Try to organize the event YOU want it to be! It is very hard to do something different because everyone thinks they know how to organize your wedding. But instead of following the traditional wedding packages, try to stay true to your initial ideas. This way you will also enjoy your wedding so much more in the end!
