She Said Yes to a Surprise Proposal at Lago di Braies in Italy

Imagine this- you’re traveling to Switzerland for vacation and you happen to see the most beautiful lake on Instagram. You decide to go 5 hours out of the way to spend a romantic 2-nights there just to soak up the awe-inspiring atmosphere. You wake up the morning after your arrival, make your way to a deserted boathouse deck, and suddenly, he pops down on one knee, sings you a song written especially for you, and proposes. Are you swooning yet?! Sounds like something out of a fairy tale, but it’s the real-life surprise proposal of Katrina + Jeremy.

Cat, from Wild Connections Photography shared more about the background of this dreamy proposal at Lago di Braies in the Italian Dolomites:

Jeremy first asked Katrina to be his girlfriend by writing her a song which he sang to her during a picnic by a lake on campus. So he thought the best place to propose to her would be by taking her to a new lake and writing her a new song. Jeremy & Katrina’s shoot is a wonderful love story full of romance.

The Setup

How the moment came together, from Cat:

What Katrina didn’t know is that Jeremy had booked the boathouse for private use and that I would be there pretending to be the person working there who would let them in just for a minute. Jeremy and I had actually been emailing back and forth for the last few months trying to plan the whole surprise. Alongside booking the boathouse, I’d managed to borrow a guitar from a friend which was hidden on the deck. So when they arrived, Jeremy took Katrina on to the jetty, then pulled out the guitar and played her the song he had written for her.

How special that their love story came full circle?!
