Happy Monday lovelies! So much prettiness lined up for this week and we are starting it all off with this sweet + romantic wedding – with a pink wedding dress! Perfect for Valentine’s Day week, right? :) Lauren is an English teacher, so they thought an overarching love story theme would be perfect for their wedding. Each table was named after a different novel, and the favors were bookmarks with an ee cummings quote. During the ceremony they even read ee cummings’ poem. “I carry your heart with me.” This poem was actually chosen by Lauren’s 6th grade class as the poem that best captured the spirit of love and they even surprised Lauren on her wedding day with a copy of the poem with all of their signatures – how sweet! :) There was some rain on their wedding day, but Lauren said she loved “when it rained because it made our wedding feel even more like a house party and less like a scripted event.” Big congrats to Lauren + Dan and thanks so much to Mi belle photography for the gorgeous photos!
We used Buffalo Springfield’s “Kind Woman” as my bridal march and “January Wedding” by the Avett Brothers for the processional. Our first dance was “Lucky” by Jason Mraz.
Since Dan is Jewish + Lauren is Catholic, they incorporated the Irish blessing/unity candle for Lauren and the chuppah and breaking of the glass for Dan!
Our bridesmaids and groomsmen got to choose their own white dress or gray suit (respectively).
We had Spanish-style food to fit the early California vibe of the house. There were pitchers of sangria on every table, which we used for toasts instead of champagne. We also had two signature cocktails: the “Dan” was a whiskey drink, and the “Lauren” was a vodka one.

Wow, truly gorgeous! I love the pale pinks against the burlap runners with the gorgeous flowers arrangments. Btw, that pink dress is AMAZING! I am seriously changing my mind about coloured dresses.
