I’m so excited to share today’s engagement session with you guys! The lovely couple is Danni from Oh, Hello, Friend and her fiance Nick. Danni is one of the sweetest bloggers out there, and I just love how she styled the shoot . Of course selecting the ladies of Simply Bloom Photography to capture them was such a perfect choice! They decided to capture their session in the desert near Las Vegas – simply so romantic! Danni provided a bit more about her thoughts into the session also – thanks Danni!
When I started thinking about what I wanted our engagement photos to look like, I immediately knew I wanted to do something really unique and to our style. I came across these 4-foot letters on etsy when I was searching for small vintage letters and knew right away it’d fit perfect for our photos.
How romantic does this look with all the bubbles? Too sweet! From Danni, I’ve always loved that scene in Cinderella where she is cleaning the floor and bubbles are all over – so I thought it’d be fun to get a bubblemachine for the shoot.
Choosing our outfits was also fun because it gave me an excuse to get Nick some new clothes, he never shops for himself. ;) So we spent the day shopping at buy/sell/trade shops (buffalo exchange/crossroads) and thrift stores. If you have a buy/sell/trade shop in your area – I highly recommend trying those stores first. We just brought in clothes that was just sitting in our closet and got trade value for new clothes – we actually were able to use all our trade credit and not spend any money on new clothes for the shoot! So we headed out to las vegas to meet with simply bloom – the girls had chosen a really great location for the shoot, we were so excited. Our engagement shoot was lovely, I really tried to just take the whole experience in. The bubbles in the desert was such a neat contrast and it was fun to see all the effort we put into it play out. Thanks to Jen for featuring these photos today!
