A Pre-Wedding Vow Exchange at Horseshoe Bend

For the couple with adventure and adrenaline running through their veins, eloping to a gorgeous landscape with epic views is basically a no-brainer. But if you’re also dedicated to saying your I do’s among family + friends back home, it’s hard to just up and go. Ever think about just doing both? Addie + Ken had dreams of running off to a dream destination for an intimate vow exchange as they were planning their big wedding and finally just said—why not? They called up Anni Graham and together, whisked off to Arizona for a weekend adventure!

A week before their wedding in Toronto, Addie + Ken picked me up from the airport in Las Vegas for an epic two day adventure into Arizona. We started in the morning at Zion National Park. They changed behind giant rocks (her, into a beautiful dress from Emma Paige Designs) to hide from the tourists for their first look in front of one of the most incredible views in the park. Just as the sun went down over the horizon, Addie + Ken poured their hearts out to each other. We all cried. It ended up being everything they had dreamed of, and after their big wedding back home, they wrote to me telling me they were so grateful they did this. Weddings are unpredictable, and most likely won’t be perfect, and some want it to be personal but don’t want to get that emotional in front of a hundred people. I think this is the perfect alternative.
