Cam + Nick had been dating for seven years when Nick proposed in January. They both immediately knew they didn’t want to wait long before starting their new life journey together as husband and wife. Instead, they knew they wanted to plan a breathtaking elopement, but still keep it close to home so their families could be a part of the day. They ended up choosing to share their vows in the Mesa, Arizona desert, with their sleek white attire up against the cacti and warm Arizona sun. C shares more about how their Covid-19 elopement came to be:
As a couple who loves to travel, we knew we wanted to do something different and something that screamed “us”, and we thought that the desert would give the perfect vintage/retro vibe that both of us are into. Then March rolled around, and COVID came into the states. And all we could do was cross our fingers that it wouldn’t cancel our flights and accommodations. April came, and COVID got worse – national mandates, quarantines, and shut downs everywhere – definitely threatening to our plans…but God made a way for us to get to Arizona.

A Golden Day
In May, we set out to Paradise Valley and traveled deep into the desert to capture our favorite photos of all time. Jasmin and her brother (a videographer too) purely captured the essence of Nick and I’s relationship – one that is so genuine and true, best friends and soul mates.

Totally obsessed with C + N’s choices for wedding day attire. C looks ultra sophisticated in a high neck halter gown from Vera Wang, while N looks rugged and handsome in a custom suit from Laredo Western Wear.
I (Cam) bought the third dress I tried on, and Nick sent his measurements off to Mexico for his custom made charro suit. Our vision began to come together in our minds.

All of the photos and videos (and trip) hold sentimental value to us, and we were so thankful that we were still able to “become one” under the sun in Arizona – during a time as crazy as our world is seeing now.
