When the bride and groom love plants, a horticulture center seems like the perfect fit for a wedding venue! If fact, The Fairmont Park Horticulture Center was the only space Hannah + Pete visited. They planned their entire lush and swanky affair around the space and its loads of unique plants. H + P teamed up with event planners Confetti & Co. to design the most incredible botanical wedding we’ve ever seen! With plants literally hanging from the ceiling, along with the most magical reception lighting, the entire space was transformed into a dreamland. Get ready for garden greenhouse vibes ahead!

Have you ever read the story “The Twelve Dancing Princesses?” They travel every night through forests of glittering trees to a wonderful party (before they get caught that is). I kept this in mind with all our planning, most notably with our light installations provided by Lumos and Co., which were incredible. In keeping with this idea, the Fairmount Horticulture Center was actually the only venue we toured. It was exactly what we wanted. Since it’s so wonderful as is, we wanted floral arrangements that would accentuate the plants already there.

Botanical Wedding Invitations
Being the plant lovers they are, it’s no surprise that H + P covered their wedding invitations in modern nods to greenery. We’re loving the embossed detail on this Mary Kate Moon invitation suite!

H fit right into the story of the Twelve Dancing Princesses with her Chic Nostalgia “Echo” gown from Bijou Bridal. We love the deep neckline and unique lace!
Subtle gold shimmer was a theme throughout the day, and H’s bridesmaids dresses didn’t disappoint! These ladies rocked the perfect pairing of lace BHLDN tops and champagne Jenny Yoo skirts.
Oleander created botanical wedding magic for H + P! Just look at H’s bridal bouquet! Lush and overflowing with textural greens, it’s here to make a statement!

You can’t have a botanical wedding without a RAD ceremony arch covered 100% in plants, right?? Talk about setting the mood for these two plant lovers! We love the mix of large tropical leaves, ferns, and smaller greens for texture!

Horticulture Center Reception
After we walked down the aisle together, we headed straight to a back room by ourselves and just had a moment to realize what just happened. It was a small moment that made everything feel real and made us feel connected to each other.

Talk about WOW!! If H + P wanted to create a magical, dreamy, garden vibe, then they definitely succeeded! Who wouldn’t want to dance the night away under this incredible installation of hanging greenery and shimmering chandeliers and lanterns?? Lumos Co. definitely made H’s fairy tale dreams come true!
Botanical Wedding Details
H + P didn’t miss a beat to add some botanical charm to every detail of the day. We just love how they weren’t afraid to incorporate different textures to add depth and dimension to their arrangements!

After this, my biggest advice is to understand that things will never go exactly as planned. It’s many different people working on many different parts of an event. There’s always something that will happen that won’t be exactly what you imagined BUT if the people you love are there to celebrate your love, then it’s all good!
High-Low plant tablescapes complemented the other botanicals that already call the Horticulture Center home. Such a simple, but statement-making centerpiece!!

If you can, always try to focus on what you care about most. I love plants so I made that a huge part of our day but if flowers aren’t for you, spend your time and money on what is for you. Try to decide as a couple what type of day will represent you best and you will enjoy the most. We love a big party so we had a big party but if you love a small, intimate affair where you have a chance to connect with every guest, do that. The most important thing is to be true to you and your partner and what matters most to you both— whatever that may be!
