A Boho Tulum Wedding with Beach Views + Playful Palms

Tulum, Mexico Wedding

Bold Boho meets Beachy Elegance! That’s what we would call the style of Kiona + Matt’s Tulum wedding day. If you’ve been dreaming of your own beach wedding, get ready beccause you’re in for a classy affair! From a mega flower wall and striking ceremony setup to minimalist tropical table decor and an intimate reception, K + M pulled off a stunning event at Sanara Tulum with the help of event planner, Diana Romo Weddings. K shares why their day was extra special:

By turning the wedding into a destination wedding! It helps you think outside the box and makes you feel the possibilities are endless. For our after party, we were able to turn the yoga studio into a Moroccan lounge and since Morocco was where Matt proposed, it felt extra special. Furthermore, the people who are willing to travel the distance for your wedding are the ones who truly love and support you and this energy makes everything more intimate.

Let’s look through the lens of Peyton Rainey Photography and soak it all up! Ready??

Minimalist Details

modern wedding invitation

K + M went for classic elegance with these invitations from Very Mary Designs. Keeping details minimalistic paves the way for a clean and airy aesthetic for the event as a whole!

Bride + Groom Style

M was the picture-perfect beach Groom in a pale blue Suitsupply jacket, Alfani shirt, Paisley & Gray pants and Trask Linwood shoes.

Carolina Herrera Dress

K was a high-fashion stunner for her Tulum wedding day! She chose a sleek Carolina Herrera gown and veil, and paired them with Valentino heels. She also went with a chic bridal ponytail and neutral makeup look styled by Zoe Elizabeth. We love her elegant look and asked her to share how she found the perfect dress:

I’m guilty of over shopping. I tried on over 100 dresses and in the end I felt overwhelmed. With so many beautiful and unique styles being created these days, I decided to make it simple and go for an elegant and modern mock neck, silk crepe gown by Carolina Herrera. Their bridal couture is timeless! Plus, now CH is a family tradition since my sister-in-law was also married in a Carolina gown and helped me pick mine.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

The ceremony. Standing at the water's edge, framed by our massive yet minimalist wood alter and holding hands with my soon to be husband. There was nothing but us and the big blue ocean and that was an exhilarating feeling.
