It’s all about high fashion today, friends! Replete with black and white elements, along with touches of greenery and pink accents, today’s bridal ‘lingerie’ shower is SERIOUSLY eye-catching. Taking notes from Vogue, everything had a modern and sophisticated feeling, with romantic details to round out the day designed by Daystar Television Network… plus several adorable Dalmatian puppies joined in the fun at Place at Tyler!
If you find yourself asking, a bridal ‘lingerie’ shower…what’s that? The bride-to-be’s sister shares: At my shower, we played a game where everyone broke up into teams and made bridal lingerie out of random items — including toilet paper and duct tape. One person from each team was then chosen to model their design, which was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen! So, when it came time to plan my sister’s shower, I knew we had to play that game again and came up with the idea of creating a runway to take it to a whole new level!
When we started planning the event, the venue was the first detail we nailed down. Since the space was so clean and minimalistic, we wanted to do something you rarely see and decided to throw a modern lingerie shower.

The Balloon Backdrop
We might need to snag a couple velvet chairs like these for our place! Beautiful Event Rentals provided all the darling furniture to add a touch of glam to the day.
The Pups!
Oh my GOODNESS! Okay, first of all the balloon arch with all the greenery. The team tells us: Our imaginative, DIY project for the lingerie shower was a total surprise – even to us! The night before the event, the vendor we hired to create a balloon garland for our photo wall backed out, forcing us to come up with a Plan B! After some encouragement from our friends, we found a YouTube video and let the creative juices flow!

And the PUPPIES! Dorothy’s Perfect Pets is a Dalmatian breeder, and brought these cuties to join in the fun. (You bet we’d be snuggling up with these little ones!)
When asked what she wanted at her lingerie shower, bride-to-be Rebecca jokingly responded, “Puppies!” Seeing the look of total shock and amazement on her face as she snuggled up to the Dalmatian puppies on arrival was absolutely priceless!
The Modern Tablescape
Ghost chairs, marble chargers, black plates, tons of greenery. Isn’t this room absolutely elegant?
Talk about a statement piece! Artifacture Studios created this laser cut out featuring the bride-to-be’s future last name.
During dinner, DJ Poizon Ivy’s playlist created the perfect atmosphere for fun and hilarious games incorporating the fabulous runway, including: “DIY Lingerie” and “Sexy Karaoke.”

After the meal, guests sampled tasty treats including gourmet speckled donuts, a three-tier marble cake with coconut, strawberry, and vanilla almond layers, as well as blush frosted cupcakes by Bakeology DFW.
