Some brides have their wedding day planned out long before the proposal and that is exactly how Emily was – in fact, nearly seven years before the proposal! :) JCT Kitchen + Bar in Atlanta, Georgia was the perfect canvas for their day, and they made sure to include pieces from their travels to India, cool pieces from Emily’s company BoBo Intriguing Objects, and other randoms that spoke to their love of textiles, paper, color + of course camels! It took them many hours to compete all the handmade projects – a real labor of love – but they wouldn’t have had it any other way. Congrats to Emily + Kevin and thanks so much to Kyle Hale for the photos!
Love the bridesmaids dresses! And let’s talk about Emily’s dress!! So fab – especially with all those great necklaces!
We are OBSESSED with live music! We had our band booked before our venue, ha! We built our set-list from scratch with songs we love to sing and dance to and it absolutely helped make the day feel uber personal – not to mention the top secret “mini-set” where my hubby rocked out on guitar with the band!
The last song the band played was the Beatles' "Hey Jude." At some point near the end of the song, organically, the entire crowd on the dance floor formed a circle around the two of us and Kevin lifted me up in the air, and we just danced together alone in the center, surrounded by all our friend and family singing to us and waving their arms in the air. It was beyond. Just magical. Oh, that...OR the 10 minute long freight train that moseyed on through during our vows.
Carry out your vision exactly as you see it and think about how you want to feel it + your day will be perfection.
