Happy Summer everyone! I thought today would be the perfect day to share this post that I wrote for Inspired By This while Leila was on her honeymoon a few weeks ago. It’s all about finding inspiration everywhere – especially when you travel this summer. Or maybe these ideas will get you thinking about your fabulous honeymoon! I love traveling to new places and you can find so much inspiration by enjoying new cultures, architecture and landscapes. One of the most beautiful places I’ve been (and one of our favorites stops on our honeymoon) are the gorgeous towns of Cinque Terre in Italy. Cinque Terre is made up of 5 small villages along the coast in Italy that are connected by hiking paths and trains. I’m inspired by the the colorful houses (they even have a person in charge of picking the paint colors for the houses – what a fun job!) along the coasts – which would make for a fun palette. Pesto + pizza are both popular in this area as well as lemoncello.

Next is Paris. Paris is the city of love + fashion, so lots to be inspired by here…

And Bali. I’ve never been here, but that top left photo makes me want to visit there so much! A beautiful palette of blues, greens, white and wood.

What places have you been that you plan to incorporate into your day?
Does anyone know who made the dress in the picture where the girl is sitting on the swing – Bali, top right corner??? Please tell me!
ooh, LOVE the color! gorgeous!
these are JUST gorgeous!!!
Paris! Obviously I adore all three of these deliciously inspired places, but Paris ALWAYS gets me. The feathers, the fashion, the fabulousness! What a fine inspiration board.
As soon as I saw that photo I knew it was the Cinque Terre. I love it there, have you done the walk between the 5 towns? It’s actually scary – it’s literally a path dug into the side of the cliff with nothing to stop you falling!
These are all absolutely beautiful! I can’t even pick a favorite!!
Where are the vintage blue shoes with white flower from? The credits say “The cherry blossom girl”…the link is broken and the blog of this name no longer has this picture on it that I can find.
Cleo- Yes! We did the hike between the towns. And I agree. I thought it would be more of a walk, but that is a serious hike up the hills! We hiked through all the towns one day (with stops for wine + treats in the towns), then watched the sun set in Riomaggiore and took the train back to Monterosso (which we were staying in). Such a perfect day…
B- The shoes are from Elizabeth Messina – not cherry blossom girl. This is the link you want – http://www.kissthegroom.com/2010/04/sweet-style/
Ooh, these are gorgeous! I think I would love to look at some great pictures of wherever we decide to go for the honeymoon and use those as inspiration for the color palette and style of wedding–that way the wedding pictures and honeymoon pictures would look great together…hmm, you’ve got me thinking! Thank you for the wonderful idea!
Lovely! We did something similar a few weeks ago with Paris, Santorini, Ireland, and Mexico! Travel is such a great inspiration.

I might have to say Prague… it’s a very magical place in its own way. It can have a very whimsical beauty to it… or a dark mystery. Traveling is definitely one of my passions…thanks for featuring this!
Absolutely obsessed with these boards and the fact that you mentioned cinque terre!! Also one of my favorite locales..I caught myself daydreaming while looking at that board…Thanks for the inspiration We love you!
I absolutely love the blue satin shoes with the bow. I cannot make out the maker on the sole. Does anyone know where these shoes are from?
Jen, Thank you! Clockwise…duh (sorry).
Ooh, I was pleasantly surprised just now spotting one of my pictures in the Paris section! Thanks so much! Funny timing as well, as I’m shooting a wedding in Paris next Saturday, this definitely got me in the mood now. :)
Love the picture of the girl sitting on the swing in Bali. Does anyone know who the dress is designed by?
