This rad inspiration shoot takes all of these trends and blends them beautifully with a modern take on 70’s wedding inspiration and style. This time-traveling shoot took place at Factory Atlanta, an old linen warehouse in Chamblee, Atlanta’s antique district. The girlboss dream team of vendors who created this far-out look say that now, it’s a beautiful blank canvas for couples to bring any dream to life. Chaise Tinsley, who partnered up with event planners, Smooth as Butter Weddings, had this to say about the overall vision:

I wanted to create a modern and approachable take on the 70’s classics. Tons of details from this shoot were thrifted from local stores here in Atlanta. The backdrop was made of DIY macrame hoops and simple sheets of paper. These elements are super easy to find, cheap to purchase and still create a wow factor for couples. Advice to couples would be spend time thrifting alternative decor for your day! Think of things you’d like to keep or items to can sell back to thrift stores and planners alike.

Color palette eye-candy! We are seriously loving this warm and spicy combo of rust and golden yellow. Amavi Studio created the perfect retro-inspired invitation suite! The bride’s ring featured above is by Throwing Stars Jewelry.

That 70’s Style

WOW! This embroidered wedding dress, featuring a stunning train, is by Daughters of Simone and comes from The Sentimentalist dress boutique. It’s so dreamy and unique! Jade Jamrozy totally nailed the 70’s wedding inspiration in the hair and makeup looks!

So much gorgeous texture! Flaura Botanica channeled the 70’s by bringing in chrysanthemums and amped up the lush look with fun blooms like kangaroo paw, bleached Italian ruscus and craspedia billy balls!

A Totally Groovy Setup

The best of both retro and modern! Can you believe the styling team sourced most of their decor from local thrift shops?? This is so doable and creates a completely unique look for your event!

We’re loving all of the eclectic decor details featured in this shoot! The Prissy Plate Company provided tabletop rentals while Milieu Decor provided furniture rentals.

How cute are these embroidery hoop name cards?!

This sleek and stylish second bridal gown is by Elizabeth Dye and the bride’s kimono and belt are from Hushed Commotion. The Groom is looking RAD in this suit by The Black Tux in ‘Marigold’ and The Tie Bar bow tie.
