Take a garden party—but make it tropical—add a historic villa-turned-museum, and finish off a beautiful couple. That’s what we’ve got in store for you today! These ingredients are the makings of the dreamy wedding day between Carlyle + Samir, a Miami couple who wed surrounded by pops of color, texture, and history. Here’s a look into the day’s inspiration from Carlyle:
We love nature and being outdoors, and when we saw the ceremony mound at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens (also featured in our Top 26 Coolest Places to Get Married) with the sweeping trees and Spanish moss, we instantly fell in love! From there, we worked with Adriana at The Creative’s Loft to create a glam garden party. The ceremony was very personal and all about us. Our officiant (Dr. Rev. Cynthia Capaccio) did an amazing job telling our story and engaging all our guests. There were times I felt like it was just the three of us, which made it feel very special. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house!

Unearthed Vintage provided all the rentals for the day, offering a touch of modern glam to the historic space.

Our Advice
There are so many details that you think about in the last month, so our advice would be to get the little things out of the way EARLY. You don't necessarily need to wait! We also tried to hire vendors whose personalities we liked (along with their work/aesthetic) and who we thought we would enjoy spending time with. It made our actual wedding day SO much fun (specifically our photographers—we had NO idea how much time we would actually be spending with them and we had a blast). We're obsessed with all of them and I wish we didn't live so far away!
