Eva + Daniel are German, but live in LA and tied the knot in Mallorca, Spain. Talk about a couple of globe trotters, right?! Their wedding guest list included friends + family from all over the world, so their top priority was to make the day relaxed + fun – and for all to enjoy their beautiful island getaway. It’s safe to say, they accomplished that goal!
They turned to Iris Reichle for planning, styling + florals and trusted Carmen and Ingo to document the day. With talented vendors on board, they knew they could enjoy the process more and when it came to their main inspiration for the day’s design, Eva shares, We wanted it to be as relaxed as possible. We didn’t want a stuck up and strict wedding but more of a garden party atmosphere with all our loved ones. I guess the inspirations for the theme we got from the “rustic” weddings you see more and more on Pinterest. We love being out in nature so we used lots of wood and greens and herbs to decorate. The flowers and hairpieces were all supposed to look like wild flowers that had just been picked from the field. We also didn’t have a set dinner but served it family style so everyone would help each other and start conversations this way.
Eva + Daniel are such a stylish pair :) We love Daniel’s ivory jacket from Ralph Lauren Black Label, and Eva’s Laure de Sagazan wedding dress, lavender bob + wildflower crown are basically as good as it gets!
Eva: When I arrived at the ceremony at the top of the hill and everybody looked up at me. I instantly started crying. I felt so overwhelmed by seeing everyone who had come all the way to celebrate with us.
Daniel: When I tried to give a speech/say my vows to Eva at the dinner and could only say half a sentence before tearing up so much that I wasn’t able to finish. By not being able to say anything I guess I really said “everything”.
Processional: Wagner’s “Bridal Chorus"
Recessional: All You Need is Love – The Beatles
First Dance: All I Need – Air (Performed live by Daniyella and Band)
Everyone celebrated at Eva’s family’s private villa for the reception, noshing on eats + sweets by Marc Fosh, dancing under string lights and laughing (and crying) along to the emotional speeches given by Eva + Daniel and their closest friends.
Don’t sweat it. In the end it’s all about the people around you and being happy. Not whether the perfectly matching glasses and plates are on the table or if the font on the place card is right.
