Abby + Brett are getting married in July. Brett worked doing landscaping in college, so they came up with the fun idea of romanticizing an engagement session with inspiration from the book, “Soil Mates” by Sara Alway. The photographs from this session “interrupt” the two of them flirting while getting ready for guests at an engagement party. I think this is so fun + romantic + perfect for summer. Wanda, of Sugar Maple Weddings & Events, styled a fresh garden buffet table. I LOVE this since summertime to me means lots of fruits + veggies – yum!
The watermelon “cake” was inspired by Martha Stewart and is actually a watermelon that Wanda cut up. And how cute are these terra cotta pots of hummus + baby carrots! They were inspired by a Pinterest find from here.
Andrea made the wedding cake and attached some easy DIY fabric flowers. This is a wonderful (and easy) alternative for the DIY baker! She made the pennant herb markers out of craft spools & bamboo skewers (cut in half).
