Revolution of Love: 60s-Inspired Elopement in San Francisco

Boho Peaceful Wedding Inspiration

Give peace a chance! With a focus on love, revolution, and caring for one’s community, Cheers Babe Photo + Hand+Heart Events styled one revolutionary editorial. Jess of Cheers Babe Photo shares: It seems like something new hits us every morning. Terror & tragedy are marking our headlines what seems like daily. However, we see real glimpses of redemption when we collaborate, when we help each other and build one another up. The Give Peace a Chance shoot is inspired by this current climate of our broken world as well as it’s revolution of love and positivity in the midst of everything. The desire of this shoot is to inspire, to breed positivity and simply, to give peace a chance.

Taking notes from iconic images of John Lennon + Yoko Ono holding single blooms — promoting peace and justice — many of the editorial photos were inspired to incorporate a similar look. And what better place to have this all take place than Central Kitchen, located in the Mission District of San Francisco?

Let’s get this train a-rollin’:

pink heels

Rue de Seine Dress

When it came to dressing the dapper duo, the bride rocked a slightly fringed gown by Rue de Seine from Lovely Bride SF; the groom stunned in his all-white suit with onyx accents from The Black Tux.

The amazing florist, Ash & Oak Floral, incorporated copper roses mixed with dried sprigs… All which reminded her of a 1960s living room with mustard yellow blankets and shaggy rugs. You can almost feel the warm sunshine beaming through the windows whilst records play in this photo, simply by the floral hues. Well done!

Jess shares A favorite piece of mine is the hanging peace sign in the ceremony space – a collaboration between our designer, Hand & Heart Events, and our florist, Ash & Oak Floral, that just popped on the aged steel wall of the restaurant!
