If you’ve been on the hunt for a little bit of unique floral inspiration, today is your lucky day, because this bright + cheerful editorial – a collab between Flora Fauna Designs, L. brook Events and Emily Delamater Photography – features the prettiest of blooms + some sweet, eclectic design ideas! We’re loving the punchy palette of orange, green + white, paired with layered metals in shades of copper + gold. And the 70’s, urban chic feel is a style we hope to see show up much more often in future weddings and events. It’s just so good!
From the team, It began with the idea to design a shoot that referenced the iconic style and fashion of the late seventies in a creative way that felt fun, bold and sexy. Portland Hunt & Alpine Club is a beautiful and modern bar in the heart of downtown Portland and was the ideal venue for this shoot. The interior of this space mixes mid-century modern and Scandinavian design aesthetics with rustic wood and metal. Our design featured bold, bright and mixed metallic elements that popped against the interior of the space.
Biggest. Airplant. Ever. So in love!
Using vintage copper vessels along with crisp white and orange vessels we created a rich, bold and full tablescape with varying heights and points of interest. Vintage amber wine goblets and copper mugs donned the table beside orange and gold-rimmed dinner plates that were layered with gorgeous, poppy salad plates.
Loving it all as much as us? Take notes to get the look! The team used a vibrant mix of air plants, ranunculus, billy balls, poppies, ferns, orchids, hydrangeas, pincushions, lillies, knobby grapevine and garden roses. So much pretty.
Erin of Wild Orchid Baking Co. created a 3-tiered cake using sugar poppies and sugar air plants to top a gorgeous 70’s- inspired stripe along the front.
Such a fun shoot! We’re definitely going to pin a couple shots to our Flowers + Bouquets board! Thanks so much to everyone below who helped bring this inspirational session to life!
