Inspired by 1970s, gritty classic rock, romantic bohemian style, and wild horses, this free-spirited editorial, by Elate Photo + Artsy Heartsy Events provides the perfect supply of ideas for bohemian brides everywhere.
The concept was really dreamt up during a Concept Design Workshop Artsy Heartsy Events put together for their interns, and from there a top-notch team was assembled + inspiration began to turn into reality. They kept the color palette full of natural earth tones and deep, moody shades of marsala and pomegranate. And they incorporated a lot of natural textural elements – like leather, stones, weavings, hammered metals, and sheepskins – into the setting. During the workshop, the AHE team conceptualized a couple to base these ideas around. So, who is this stylish duo they came up with? Designer, Brigitte, tells us, He’s a groom who loves classic rock and music festivals, and she’s a bride who grew up riding horses on her family’s ranch and gardening with her mother.
Let’s check out their ‘wedding’ – and if you love it, take a couple notes, pin a couple pins and shop our shopping guide below. ‘Cause this concept can easily be yours, too!
We’re totally ga-ga over that bouquet by Pick Tulip. Insane!
Artsy Heartsy Events created that super rad macrame wedding backdrop.

This is absolutely beautiful!! Brigitte at Artsy Heartsy is AMAZING!
Love this!! Such creativity…especially that bouquet!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the macrame backdrop, the dream catchers and that massive wicker sweetheart throne. Bridgette at Artsy Heartsy has an incredible eye and a natural flair for this stuff! Bravo team!
I love this! Everything about this shoot is magical. Everything screams love and charm. I can’t decide which detail I’m obsessed more about! Well done, Artsy Heartsy!!

Amazing shoot, gorgeous colors and details…
This is INSANE amounts of pure gorgeousness! I’m so obsessed with all the details.
This is simply astonishing, simple and unique setting. Absolutely love everything!
I feel weird about the tipi and the dreamcatchers. This leans closer to an Indigenous American inspired wedding than a 1970’s bohemian wedding.
Loved the wicker love seat though. Pinned the ever-loving crud out of that!
The dreamcatchers are cute!
i love how they created such a cozy, intimate feeling for their big day. all you bohemian punk brides out there should check out freeheart project for a one-stop bridal shop with a similar vibe! not only do they have dresses, jumpsuits, veils and jewels, but they also offer services from planning and styling to floral design and makeup.
love the bride’s head piece! Where is it from?
Incredible theme and idea. How long did this take? Bohemian grove :)
Thanks so much for the love! :)
Mandy – her headpiece is from Forever21 of all places! (We styled her whole look from F21, along with the bridesmaids. All the jewelry was from Androgyny.)
Angela – Thank you! It only took one day to set up, but about a month of dreaming, scheming, and creating. :)
Incredible theme. I have some ideas now…. :) Thanks!
I love the love seat! Where can I find one?
