Epic doesn’t even begin to describe it. Mesmerizing, artistic, too pretty to touch, to tantalizing not to… Our favorite wedding dessert trend is about to take off and (spoiler alert) it has nothing to do with cake. We’ve come to know Bijou’s Sweet Treats by name thanks to their gorgeous creations, a true staple in our Preferred Wedding Artist family. So when they told us they were offering something new and sent over photos for a taste, we’ll admit it. We couldn’t resist.
A 16-foot-long table completely covered in a canvas of over one thousand pieces of handmade desserts — THIS is the dessert grazing table. Bijou’s Sweet Treats will offer 3 different sized packages beginning in 2020 ranging from small platter to table-for-500, the latter of which we’re thrilled to feature today!
This is not a dessert table. It’s a dessert grazing table (more on what that really means below)…and, as you’re about it see in photos by Alexa Ann Photography, we predict a huge takeover to come!
The Epic Dessert Grazing Table
Honestly, this is what heaven looks like.
So, what makes a grazing table literally stand out?
The grazing style table showcases an over-the-top opulence made with flat and low-height desserts in a fanned design. With occasional stacks of desserts and a few tiers and stands for height and to draw the eyes’ attention to certain aspects of the table, the design encourages guests to step back and look at the table as a whole before a more thorough inspection.
One Thousand Handmade Treats
Every single treat was made custom by Bijou’s Sweet Treats. Including (deep breath) mini wedding cakes, full-sized and mini cupcakes, gourmet marshmallows, graham crackers, chocolates, cookies, brownies, spice cake cake pops, fluffy cake donuts, gourmet rice krispy treats, pillowy macarons, mini apple hand pies, rustic mixed berry pies, key lime pies, coffee pannacotta, banana creme pie and chocolate pudding parfaits, meringue cake, and MORE.
Blakemore’s Flowers brought in some killer florals to really elevate the design!
PS: It’s true. We love grazing tables.
The bride + her bridesmaid harkened back to the historic Roman Bacchanal Feast — feast is right!
Valley Heirlooms provided the low-legged farm tables, specifically designed and crafted for couples looking for a more communal, rustic feel for their wedding.
A custom cocktail station was in order to wash down all the goodies!
Care for a bite? All of Bijou’s dessert grazing options can be customized to match your wedding colors and favorite flavors. You can find more info on Bijou’s Sweet Treats’ website!
