Yeah! Weddings Free Wedding: Melanie + Kelcey – Part 2

bride and groom

We’ve been sharing the super fun YEAH! Weddings Free Wedding today and now it’s time to check out their fun reception (you can see the planning here and ceremony/portraits here). The wedding took place at  1342 studio space in Los Angeles, California. Such a perfect venue with an outdoor space for the ceremony and a great indoor blank canvas for the reception.

Love that their cocktails by Pharmacie were inspired by Melanie + Kelcey’s 3 favorite songs (Graceland, Radiohead, and LCD Soundsystem)!

Love all the pretty dishware from Casa de Perrin! Perfect design with the florals by Landish and paper goods by Copper Willow. The yummy food was by Tehra Thorp (T3).

Our dinner tables were so beautiful. Bash, Please wanted to do a water color effect on the table runners, and they turned out really cool. Our mood board was inspired by constellations, geometric shapes, and shades of blue, and they completely delivered. Really loved how Landish found the perfect flowers that looked just like stars in the sky.

Our best advice is to be a little selfish and celebrate YOUR love. Think about those magical moments throughout your relationship, and what made them special. The common thread is most likely just the two of you. Everyone will want to give their opinion on what you should do, but it's your day to celebrate what you have with one another. Anyone that loves you will love what you choose.

Take time off of work during the final days before the wedding. If you aren't able to do that, make sure to delegate your last minute errands. You will want the extra time to practice your vows, write thank you notes to your bridal party, or just to relax a bit before all of the excitement begins.

Trust the people that you're working with -- they know what they're doing. As crazy as it might feel to let go of control of "the biggest day of your life", whatever happens will forever remind you of the day you started your next chapter together. Throw your worries out and enjoy the celebration.

Most of the design of our wedding was a total surprise to us on the day of. We were blown away by what we found -- everything was so beautiful. Bash did an amazing job. And now all of those details (watercolor anything, gin cocktails, silver confetti, geometric shapes, constellations) will always remind us of our wedding day.

It's so easy to get caught up in the planning process, worrying about whether every detail will be perfect, but your LOVE will fill the day.

Yay love!
