I absolutely love a good camp wedding, and Marisa + Eric’s rustic and sweet Boy Scout Camp wedding is as charming as they come! Filled with so many clever + inventive DIYs + lots of fun, personal details, Marisa + Eric really made their day a reflection of the two of them and the things they love! Here’s a bit more from the beautiful bride:
The one thing we wanted was to be married in a woodsy location. We searched everywhere for the perfect spot. Once we found the camp we were totally sold! The rest of the planning just fell into place based on the feel of our venue. We just took a bunch of our favorite things, like wood, coffee, italian glass bottles, wildflowers and combined it. Somehow it all worked out! We also really wanted our wedding to be laid back, relaxed and FUN. Just a celebration with all our closest family and friends.
Big thanks to Redfield Photography for the gorgeous images and congratulations to Marisa + Eric!
I so love Marisa’s wild, woodsy bouquet!
Our ceremony! It was so beautiful! When our friends and family laid hands on us and prayed it was SO POWERFUL. We fell so blessed. And definitely our vows! We wrote our own and it was so special to finally share them. Turns out we had at least three silly things that were the exact same in our vows, which made everyone laugh.
Processional: Processional – Josh Garrels
Recessional: On Top Of The World – Imagine Dragons
First Dance: Bella – Angus and Julia Stone
The huge banner in the reception room was an original idea. The camp had a giant “Welcome to Camp Mack” sign with a chipmunk permanently screwed to the wall so we were racking our brains for how to cover it. We decided to buy giant drop cloth from Home Depot, mask out a design, and paint on it. It was super easy and a super cheap last minute way to cover up that chipmunk.
Another unique detail that we incorporated in our wedding was a full open espresso bar for our guests. Eric and I met 5 years ago at Prince Street Cafe, where we both still work. He now manages the cafe and I barista there. It’s been such a huge part of our lives and relationship, and we wanted it to be a part of our wedding day. And come on, who doesn’t like all you drink lattes and espresso?! We created a “Bride and Groom Special” for the evening which is our personal favorite, a vanilla honey latte.
Have someone take charge on the day-of so you don't have to worry about anything! Stay relaxed. Heck, you're getting married! Who cares if anything goes wrong on that day. And HAVE FUN! Stop every so often to just look around and take it all in.

The first photograph of Marisa + Eric is simply beautiful! I love the chalkboard in the background! It goes to prove that you don’t have to have your wedding at an indoor venue to make it special!
Congrats to Marisa and Eric! What a beautiful, meaningful wedding. I love that they took “a few of their favorite” things as wedding inspiration. Bravo!
I absolutely love this! Every detail is beautiful and I love the woodsy theme! Check out the photo shoot I just posted, it has a similar woodsy feel!
