Sometimes wedding inspiration can come from unlikely places – like this shoot inspired by Winne the Pooh! Using a red + yellow color palette as well as honey, the story of the cutest bear around shows how to create a youthful and colorful wedding. And of course, using a big red balloon couldn’t be more perfect!
From Plum Jam Photography, “The inspiration for this Winnie the Pooh themed shoot came after my husband and second shooter, Jesse, and I watched the most recent cinematic version of Winnie the Pooh. We saw an untold love story that we thought would be a great basis for wedding decor. Since the storyline is mainly based around Pooh Bear getting his honey, we ran with that and incorporated many honey elements as well as the red and yellow color scheme. It was like an elegant picnic, complete with paper bow tie and stunning Stephanie James Couture dress.”
I personally love the use of the honey sticks. For our shoot they went from place cards to favors and then again as a drink sweetener and straw. We also incorporated the honey into the appetizers and of course, that beautiful piece of honeycomb on top of the Enjoy Cupcakes delicious cake. The honeycomb shaped mini cakes, as well as the honey cupcakes really made a statement dessert table.
The bar featuring the Barenjager Honey Liqueur was the perfect signature him and her cocktail mixer, along with the non-alcoholic option of tonic water and honey.
