Wedding Inspiration from the Movies: Big Fish

Another of my favorite movies for visuals was Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland (nominated for an Oscar for best visual effects). Since I already shared some Alice in Wonderland wedding ideas last year, I thought it would be fun to take another one of my favorite Tim Burton movies, Big Fish and share some inspirations from it! Fun Fact – I designed the website for this movie when it came out a few years ago, so I read the book, the screenplay (numerous times) and saw the movie a few times also, so this one is a bit closer to my heart! If you aren’t familier with the movie, it’s all about these tall tales a son’s father shares with him – stories of love, carnivals, cars in trees, giants and witches! I highly recommend the movie if you haven’t seen it.

I picture a wedding under a big tree, then reception in the woods with lights of twinkling lights! Actually this wedding I shared last week reminded me a lot of the movie also since there is a big scene at a carnival, then late night party in the woods also. :) When Edward meets the love of his love (Sandra), she is wearing this gorgeous pale blue dress and I think it would be so perfect for a wedding dress. Sandra’s favorite flowers are daffodils, so lots of those around also.
