Vintage Cali Barn Wedding: Jasmine + Corey

bride and groom

Jasmine + Corey are both from small towns even though they live in LA now. Jasmine is from New Hampshire and Corey is from Indiana, so they both had a love for barns. From day one, they knew they wanted to get married at a location with a barn. After nine months of driving up and down the coast of California, they found the perfect location at Maravilla Gardens in Camarillo, California. Once they found their dream location, all the other details came together easily. From Jasmine, “I knew I wanted something romantic but also rustic so we incorporated hay bales with chandeliers and old vintage chairs that were covered in lace and moss.” Thanks so much to Skyla Walton for the gorgeous photos – and wait until you see the bridesmaids! Major dress love there. :)

Jasmine is such a gorgeous bride! You might even recognize her from her acting or modeling work. :) And how gorge are those bridesmaids dresses?! Love the colors.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Corey: The most memorable part of our wedding day was watching the most beautiful bride I have ever seen walk down the aisle. Jasmine looked so stunning that my jaw almost hit the floor. It just reminded me how lucky of a man I truly am.

Jasmine: The most memorable part for me was seeing my dad’s face as I walked out of my brides room. Corey and I were not supposed to see each other before the ceremony but I had sneaked a glance without him knowing it…so I already knew just how handsome he looked.

I knew I only had one year to collect all the mismatched vintage and rustic pieces for my dream wedding so my maid of honor and I would leave auditions and head to all the vintage stores we could find in that area. We would find ourselves coming home with our cars full of “junk” on a weekly basis. :)

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Take 10 minutes after your ceremony to just be with each other and take everything in. We spent over a year planning our wedding and we woke up the next day and realized we didn’t get to see half of the details that we put into our special day because we were busy mingling with guests, dancing and having cocktails. My now husband didn’t even know we had a dessert table or hay bales. LOL

The one other word of advice would be to EAT!! Corey and I are HUGE foodies, so we spent lots of time creating the perfect menu for our wedding. Everyone told me that I’d never have time to eat on my wedding night, but I kept telling myself that I couldn’t miss the amazing food that we had picked out. Well, of course I never had time to eat much and I had to hear how we had the best wedding food anyone had ever had for the next week. I was so bummed I missed the truffle mac n cheese!
