I’m totally in love with the handwriting done by Bryn of Paperfinger. Paperfinger offers custom alternatives to traditional calligraphy and handwriting. There is just something about an envelope or seating card that was written by hand in a beautiful artistic way. I really love her different styles as seen below, especially the splattered ink and vintage inspired calligraphy from the top envelopes.
For the wedding below, the couple were avid travelers and wanted to name each of the fifteen tables after a place in the world that was especially meaningful to them. The locations ranged from Vermont to Florida, Venezuela to Hawaii.
They provided me with a list of these locations as well as access to their amazing collection of photographs online. I used their pictures to inspire pen-and-ink drawings that represent each place, along with the location’s name written above in calligraphy. The table signs are all the original drawings and I’m also sending them scanned versions so they’ll be able to keep these illustrations around forever.
So, you can see she does illustrations also – and what a great keepsake from the wedding!
