If your personal style walks the line between romantic + glam, Maria + Chris’ gorgeous wedding at Rancho Valencia (in Rancho Santa Fe, California) should be right up your alley! Designed by the team at A Vintage Affair Events, with gorgeous florals by Plenty of Petals, their day was filled with metallic + pastel hues, big laughs + sweet moments and a subtle, underlying travel theme.
Maria says, Ultimately, we wanted a romantic and timeless wedding that would also show our personality as a couple to our family and friends. We found little ways to incorporate things that were important to us, or part of our daily lives. For instance, we decide to name the dinner tables places we have traveled to together as a couple. We also wrote our own vows, which made the ceremony ever more special to us. Most importantly though, we wanted the day to be a true celebration of our love, with our closest family and friends.

Our Advice
Hire a planner; we both cannot stress the importance of this. Also, hire vendors you trust and whose style matches what you’re looking for on your wedding day. Knowing that our vendors were on the same page and having a planner we trusted to execute the design allowed us to let go of worries on the day of the wedding and truly enjoy ourselves. When we first saw the venue after everything was set up, we were overjoyed at the perfection of the job the vendors had done.
