There are many reasons why I love succulents…
• If you are looking for a more green alternative to your flowers, succulents are the way to go.
• With fleshy leaves which store water, succulents can usually go many days between watering,
making them easy to maintain and hard to kill! You can grow them before your wedding and save money on the florist bill.
• You can keep them after the wedding to remind you of your day.
• They are gorgeous, modern, and rustic – all elements I love.
I think they would work with lots of types of weddings….palm springs, a vineyard, a backyard, a beach wedding…I could go on. I enjoy arrangements that are unique and use unexpected textures and colors
Bouquets
What unique and unexpected bouquets! Incorporating the succulents with other blooms gives great contrast and can work with many color palettes.

Boutonnieres
These are great for guys who don’t want anything “too feminine or flowery”

Centerpieces
These are great plants to use in tabletop centerpieces where you don’t want height. Also, there are so many diverse types, leaf forms, and colors. Combining them with other elements such as vases, stones, other flowers, moss, etc. leads to great works of arts for your guests to admire.

Favors
Succulents also make excellent favors for your wedding guests. The endurance of the succulent plant is unequaled and will leave guests with a lasting and easy-to-care-for reminder of your wedding.

I love succulents, too. Especially for our climate here. It’s the best plant for any time of the year.
Any ideas or tips for how to actually make a bouquet with succulents? I’m planing on making my own for my wedding in July.
I really loved this article! I think potted succulents make for an adorable environmentally friendly favor!
