Marisa + John own Redfield Photography, and as wedding photographers, together they’ve attended over 150 weddings! When they first started planning for their own, it was a pretty big challenge to make sure their day would feel unique for them and all their guests. They were lucky to find a brand new venue – Bear Mill Estate in Denver, Pennsylvania – since they had decided early-on that they didn’t want to get married somewhere that they’d worked before.
Being in the industry, they enlisted the help of some of their most talented friends to bring their dream day to life. Sara from confetti & co. (someone they’d worked with themselves in the past) was their first call to help them design their day on a pret-ty short – 3 month – timeframe. For florals, their friend Corinne of Sebesta Design whipped up stunning bouquets and the most insane wedding arch ever. And being photographers themselves, having the right talent behind the lens was an important element, and Lev Kuperman Photography definitely delivered!
Big congrats to these two love birds! :)
We’re so in love with Marisa’s Inbal Dror wedding dress, which she purchased from The Wedding Shoppe in Pennsylvania.
Such a fun first look!
M’s bouquet is a major show stopper!
Processional: Your Hand In Mine – Explosions In The Sky
Recessional: Bound 2 – Kanye West
First Dance: Hold On, We're Going Home – Acoustic Drake
Our ceremony was easily the most memorable part for the both of us. After I walked down the
aisle, I took a quick panorama photo of everyone from my perspective - that set the tone for the
rest of the ceremony. We chose a quaker style, self-uniting ceremony (and didn’t practice a
thing before hand) so it was a heartfelt, emotional, funny mess. We read our vows and then
opened the mic to our friends + family to speak about us, if they felt inspired. What followed was
the most beautiful 40 minutes of hilarious stories, words of encouragement & tears from nearly
everyone in attendance.
Watercolor escort cards by Robin McDowell set a stylish tone for the rustic, indoor reception dinner.
Give yourself an imaginary ‘deadline’ a week before your wedding to have everything wrapped up so you can slow down and enjoy the days leading up! It really is the fastest 24 hours of your life, so take a few minutes throughout the night to slow down and enjoy it.

AHH. YES! Love John & Marisa and their phenomenal wedding!
I think this might be the first time I’ve seen an Explosions in the Sky song and I don’t know why. They’re so perfectly atmospheric and Your Hand in Mine is excellent for a wedding. We’re going to use So Long, Longsome :D
These are so lovely. I love how romantic and dark these photos are in a way. It’s different and I love it!
