The first thing Faith + Kevin knew when they started planning their wedding was that they had to exchange their vows amidst the epic scenery of Wyoming’s Snowy Mountain Range. And once they found the Snowy Range Lodge, with a little ingenuity and a lot of hard work, things naturally started to fall into place. The overall vision was rugged elegance with a dash of inspiration from Fantastic Mr. Fox (since the they both love foxes AND Wes Anderson!). And their dream day was brought to life through a variety of meaningful DIY projects, like crafty signage, a handmade cake topper, and Starthistle honey favors from the bride’s family farm. I love how all of their fun ideas came together seamlessly to create a day that was so beautifully reflective of their unique style!
Thanks so much to the Ely Brothers for the gorgeous photography + best wishes to Faith + Kevin!
Such a beautiful setting for a wedding!
And I’m totally crazy about Faith’s woodsy bouquet by lace.and.lillies. So many pretty elements + textures!
Faith walked herself down the aisle to their beautiful waterfront ceremony site…
LOVE these cute fox drink tags! :)
And here’s an awesome DIY idea: their dinner menu was beautifully written down on an old wood pallet. Such a simple + inexpensive way to incorporate some rugged style into your day. Check craigslist or your local grocery store for leftover pallets to use for wedding decor!
Definitely a favorite memory of the day was our first dance. This year has been full of challenges and heartache, and having Kevin by my side has made all the difference. I was visiting family in Michigan when Kevin sent me the song "I'd be Lying" by Greg Laswell. I immediately broke down in tears knowing this was our song. As we danced that night, he held me so close and sang to me as we danced. I felt like I was the only person on earth before Kevin. Several guests told me later that they have never witnessed a more loving first dance.
Another favorite memory of our day were the speeches! We opened up the mic to anyone after the maid of honor and best man speeches and it did not disappoint! So many laughs and loving and tear jerking words were spoken over Kevin and me. I highly recommend that every bride and groom do this!! It engages your guests and allows many to give blessings that they may not get a chance to give later that night.
Hire vendors that match your style! Ely Brothers are simply amazing and also know how to have an awesome good time! lace.and.lillies blew me away with their designs. Giving your vendors artistic freedom allows them to shine, which will result in your wedding becoming more than you expected!
